3D Game Conversion w. Stellar Blade
People in the community had been asking about Stellar Blade, so decided to do a 3D video of the game with my ReShade 2D-to-3D effect Rendepth. While Stellar Blade actually does have an official stereoscopic patch from the developer, I was not able to record for YouTube when also playing in 3D on the Samsung Odyssey 3D monitor. So I ended up recording with Rendepth doing the conversion so it would work in the capture. Obviously this will not match a native stereo render, particularly one in an official patch, but I think it still works to demonstrate how good this game is for 3D.

For some reason, though, YouTube seems to have butchered SBS 3D video uploads, likely not on purpose, but just cause the compression algorithms weren’t designed for 3D. The previous Metal Eden video looks absolutely full 4K quality (as it appears when playing) but I guess Stellar Blade is detailed, with lots of volumetric fog and other post-processing effects, which ruin the quality (it barely looks 1080p). I’ve uploaded an uncompressed PNG capture from that session so you can get a better idea of the quality when playing, and understand that it looks much nicer in real life than it appears on the stream.
