Major Update on Rendepth ReShade
Got out the new 3.0.0 update on the ReShade gaming port of my Rendepth shader. Was a small amount of code changes, but big impact of the 3D effect and overall quality of the visuals. Much of this work was from my stand-alone desktop media player, though once I figure things out I’ve been porting the code to the ReShade effect (honestly barely even play games anymore).

Rendepth 3.0.0 for ReShade improves the overall clarity of the picture, while also handling nearby objects better (like guns for shooters). In some cases the apparent depth range might be more shallow than the older method, but this allows for better focus across the range, which was an issue before.

The update is live and available for download through the official ReShade installer. It’s also free and MIT Licensed open-source, check the GitHub for details.
